Step 1: Link Your Bank Account

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open WhatsApp and go to Settings.
  2. Tap on Payments.
  3. Tap on Add New Account or if you tap on Send Payment it will ask you to add the payment method.
  4. Select your bank from the list of available banks.
  5. The app will automatically verify your phone number linked to your bank account.
  6. Once verified, enter your bank account details.
  7. Create a UPI PIN or use an existing one.
  8. Your bank account is now linked to your WhatsApp account.

Step 2: Send Money

Once your bank account is linked, you can easily send money to anyone on WhatsApp. Here’s how:

  1. Open the chat of the person you want to send money to.
  2. Tap on the attachment icon and select Payment.
  3. Enter the amount you want to send and add a note if you want to.
  4. Confirm the payment by entering your UPI PIN.
  5. The money will be instantly transferred to the recipient’s account.

Step 3: Request Money

If you want to request money from someone on WhatsApp, you can do so by following these simple steps:

  1. Open the chat of the person you want to request money from.
  2. Tap on the attachment icon and select Payment.
  3. Tap on Request Money.
  4. Enter the amount you want to request and add a note if you want to.
  5. Send the request to the recipient.
  6. Once the recipient accepts the request, the money will be instantly transferred to your account.
